Are you curious about Women’s Freemasonry and want to learn more? Join us for our next open house! It will be an open meeting taking place on November 7, 2026 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in McLean, VA.
You are invited to an afternoon of history, philosophy, and symbolism. Discover what women’s Freemasonry offers, and why the door has been open all along.
Emounah Lodge #34 in Washington DC invites you to join us for an open afternoon exploring Freemasonry through the lens of the Continental tradition, a centuries-old path that has long welcomed women as full and equal members.
Come as you are, with an open mind and an open heart. If you’ve ever felt the pull toward something deeper, something with roots, meaning, and genuine substance, we invite you join us.
Meetings
Emounah, the women’s Freemasonry lodge, meets once a month on the first Sunday at noon in the close-in Maryland suburbs. Sister’s travel from Washington, DC, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and beyond to attend meetings.
Women who are already Masons and members of an affiliated lodge, recognized groups or obediences are welcome. Male Masons from recognized groups can also attend most meetings. Please contact us for guidelines on guest Masons.

Can non-Masons attend?
If you are not already a Mason, we do have “open” meetings periodically. Please see our “Contact Us” page for inquiries.
What actually happens during a lodge meeting?

Where is Emounah Lodge located?
Emounah Lodge #34 is based in the greater Washington, DC area (the DMV region, including Maryland and Virginia). We work in English.
