Meetings

Emounah, the women’s Freemasonry lodge, meets once a month on the first Sunday at noon in the close-in Maryland suburbs. Sister’s travel from Washington, DC, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and beyond to attend meetings.

Women who are already Masons and members of an affiliated lodge or recognized groups or obediences are welcome. Male Masons from recognized groups can also attend most meetings. Please contact us for guidelines on guest Masons.

Can non-Masons attend?

If you are not already a Mason, we do have “open” meetings periodically. Please see our “Contact Us” page for inquiries.

What happens at a lodge meeting?
Our meetings include ritual work, study of Masonic symbolism, and discussion of philosophical questions. Over time, members progress through the three degrees, each offering a deeper layer of symbolism and self-reflection.

Where is Emounah Lodge located?
Emounah Lodge #34 is based in the greater Washington, DC area (the DMV region, including Maryland and Virginia). We work in English.
