Where are we going?

Emounah opened its lodge doors on March 11, 2001. It is the first and currently the only women’s Masonic lodge in the area of Washington, D.C.

Our name is feminine, meaning trust-solidity-faith. Our lodge is a true mosaic of diversity. It is through our diversity that growth takes place among sisters. Tolerance and non-judgmental attitudes are required. The principles of Freemasonry mandates a spirit of accepting “differences”, non-racial attitudes, and cultural sensitivity. Additionally, neither religion nor politics are discussed in our meetings.

All our members are on a path to discover, understand themselves and the world. We all abide by the tenants of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
